Students taking Math 1 achieved an average of 95 or better in seventh
grade Math. Math 1 integrates the study of algebra & geometry. It
introduces the topics of Logic, Statistics & Probability. Our goals are
to develop proficiency with mathematical skills, to expand
understanding of mathematical concepts, to improve logical thinking
and to promote success.
Students taking Math 1 as an 8th grader are considered advanced
math students. Homework is given every night including weekends.
Students are preparing to take regents exams in January of their
Freshman year in high school. They are expected to take all the
necessary steps to attain a grade of at least 85 in order to continue
